Chevrolet Camaro (1973)

US$ 63,000 (Before Freight & Insurance)

Description:

Unleash American Muscle with this Fully Restored 1973 Chevrolet Camaro — a ground-up, no-expense-spared build combining classic aggression with modern performance. Powered by a robust 350 Crate Motor, paired to a 700R4 4-speed transmission, this Camaro delivers thrilling torque through 373 gears and traction bars for pure driving excitement. The car sits on four Wilwood disc brakes for confident stopping power, while a custom roll cage by the famed Torch and Hammer team adds structural strength and a nod to show-quality craftsmanship.

Finished in a $15,000 multi-layer base/clear paint job by a legendary painter, the exterior gleams under eight coats of brilliance. Inside, it features power windows, an Alpine stereo system with amplifier, and a clean, muscular cabin ready for both cruise nights and adrenaline runs. With POR-15 treated frame, headers, an Edelbrock carburetor, and meticulous attention to detail throughout, this Camaro is a serious machine that’s turn-key ready and needs absolutely nothing. A stunning combination of old-school soul and modern reliability, it’s built to perform and show.

The 1973 Chevrolet Camaro, a second-generation model, incorporated several new features and changes compared to previous years. It introduced the Type LT model, a more luxurious option, and saw the discontinuation of the Super Sport (SS) package. New impact-absorbing bumpers became standard, and while the Rally Sport (RS) option continued, it was modified with strengthened bumperettes. The 396 cu in (6.5 L) V8 engine was no longer available, and the top-rated 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 in the Z28 was re-tuned for emissions, leading to a reduction in horsepower. Air conditioning also became an option for the first time on the Z28, and the Z28 option was offered on both the sport coupe and LT models.

Key Features of the 1973 Chevrolet Camaro:

Type LT Model: Offered as a luxury option with a quieter and better-appointed interior, full instrumentation, Rally-style wheels, variable-ratio steering, and more.

New Impact-Absorbing Bumpers: Standard on all models to meet new safety regulations.

Rally Sport (RS) Option: Continued with bumperettes, but the brackets behind the bumperettes were strengthened.

Z28 Engine: Hydraulic lifters replaced solid lifters, and power was reduced due to emissions standards.

Air Conditioning: Became available as an option, including for the Z28.

SS Package Discontinued: Replaced with the Type LT model.

396 V8 Discontinued: The big-block engine was no longer available.

Shift Lever: The single-stick ratcheting shifter replaced the stirrup model.

Optional Power Windows: Available late in the model year, though a limited number were ordered.
